Papyrus jersey range or the excellence of natural undyed cotton
The desire to offer the best materials for both the wearer and the planet is the fundamental principle on which RISU.RISU's ethics are based. What better way to help achieve this objective than to use undyed organic cotton jersey or fleece?
1- The Papyrus range or the most natural cotton possible In its natural state, cotton, or to be more exact, the cotton flower, exists in several colours ranging from ecru to caramel, via an almond green. Contrary to what one might think, white does not occur in nature and is in fact a colour in its own right that has undergone the same chemical process as any other colour. It is possible to knit cotton yarns in their raw state and obtain beautiful natural shades, most often cream. We have deliberately chosen to offer garments in this natural colour, which we have called papyrus (because it reminds us of those first papers from the time of the Egyptians, papers which were obviously not white). The fabrics left without dyes and simply used once knitted are as natural as possible, they do not have any dyes, only some lubricating or humidifying agents added to facilitate the mechanical process of knitting the yarns (agents authorised and controlled by the label to ensure their harmlessness in the case of the fabrics used by RISU.RISU). As children are currently developing more and more contact allergies or have more and more sensitive skin, we are keen to offer them the maximum guarantees for clothing worn next to the skin in particular. These undyed cotton garments are ideal for infants, it is our best recommendation for all newborns up to the age of 6 months, their skin being immature, covering them with chemical-free cotton is as important as the choice of first milk. No discharge of dyes of any kind into the waste water, no contamination of the earth once the garment has reached the end of its life, it's an ideal solution even if the world is more cheerful in colours, of course!
2- Jersey and papyrus fleece, the best ally for the most sensitive skins After months of fine-tuning with our French supplier Henitex, we validated the production of undyed jersey. We were looking for a natural colour, of course, but one that was pleasant, i.e. neither too white nor too "dirty", with no little grey impurities mixed in with the fabric. The Papyrus range was born! - Papyrus jersey range We make it a point of honour to offer you the essentials in this organic cotton papyrus jersey without dyes because we are firmly convinced of its benefits for the health of children and beyond. Double-sided, soft and with a squirrel pattern to hold the two cotton surfaces together, this jersey is more than enough. This is why you will find in our range of essentials, bodies, underwear, leggings But also nightwear because this cream colour is magnificent, for example enhanced with a lace braid or a contrasting border to liven up boys' pyjamas. The same concern to offer you naturalness with fleece. - Fleece range Thick and soft on the inside (brushed fleece), this fleece offers a wonderful cocoon of softness that is all the more natural because it has not been dyed. We offer a set in this papyrus fleece for babies (trousers and a small kimono), as well as a dressing gown, enhanced by pretty embroidery, and sweatshirts. This beautiful fleece offers an interesting alternative to wool. Creating clothes that are both fashionable and environmentally friendly is an exciting challenge.
